GLENUIG INN ~ Sound of Arisaig ~ West Coast of Scotland

...the great base for doing things...

Getting Here

Glenuig Beach

Our stunning location can be reached by land or sea, as we are right by the beach, and on a small ‘no through road’. It’s quiet here except for the live music in the bar, so don’t forget to pack an acoustic instrument!

Sea Cliff on Isle of Muck

We are 8 miles from the railway station at Lochailort, so walkers and cyclists can work up an appetite (or we will pick you up if you phone ahead). The overnight train from London via Glasgow to Fort William links to the local line and junior explorers can even arrive on the Hogwarts Express!

If you are travelling by water, then head for 56°50’N 05°49W (Glenuig Bay) being careful of the rocky scenery that lurks below high tide, in the entrance to our small bay on the northern side; you don’t want to explore it too closely on the way in!

Sea-kayakers will appreciate being able to glide up onto the grass outside the Inn at high tide (even an hour or two either side on a spring), from where it is just over 50 paces to the bar (enough to get the blood flowing into the legs again!).

Glenuig Location Map

Should all the above not be an option, and you are not flying (you would not be the first), then you must be driving, in which case you find us 45 minutes from Fort William along the A830 (the romantic Road to the Isles) turning left at Lochailort for the last 8 miles along the coast.

However you get here, you are welcome to share the magic of Glenuig!
